The studio

Parva Machina is a one-person game studio making strategy, puzzle and simulation games. All three open in the browser, run offline after the first load, and take no data off your device.
The name is Latin for “small machine”, and the whole design takes that at its word: a mechanism whose rules are visible, whose parts can be counted, and which you can open and look inside.
No publisher, no dashboard
This is an independent project: no publisher, no funding round, and no analytics dashboard quietly deciding what gets built next. Feedback is the only signal — if something is unfair, unclear or plainly broken, writing in about it is what actually changes the game.
That has a cost too: the roadmap depends on how much time one person has, and no dates are promised. In exchange, no game is designed to make a number on a chart go up.
One engine, two shells
Every game shares the same skeleton:
- A rule core — pure TypeScript, zero runtime dependencies. The whole game lives here: state, rules, the opponent AI, the win condition.
- A web shell — statically exported. There is no server side, because there is nothing to run.
- A mobile shell — iOS and Android, coming soon, running the same engine. Not a separate edition; a second window onto the same game.
Turkish and English are both there from the first release; neither is a translation bolted on afterwards.
The most visible consequence of this shape: there was never a server behind the games. So there is no connection to drop, no database to fill and no account to close. Running offline is a durability decision before it is a privacy one.
Three games
| Game | Genre | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| SilkWard | Turn-based puzzle | Along the Silk Road, 36 levels + 6 hidden, three acts |
| Regnarium | Short 4X strategy | 480 hexes, 30–45 minutes, no dice |
| SysAdmin Crisis | Terminal simulation | 10-night campaign, gamified terminal commands |
Each has a page here and a site of its own: this page is the publisher’s catalogue entry, the game’s own site is the product page. All three games.
Each game has its own site, its own code and its own palette. The only thing they share is the maker — and the component standard, the common colophon that sits in every game’s footer.
This site follows the same rule
No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Everything the page loads comes from this domain; the content security policy enforces that at the browser level, and continuous integration checks every build for a leaked external origin. The details are on the privacy and cookies pages.
Contact
There is no contact form, because a form needs a server. If you have found a bug, a balance problem or a bad translation, an email is enough — they get read.
